Why this site exists

Most woodworking projects that stall do not stall for lack of skill. They stall because the drawing was incomplete — a missing dimension, a cut list that was never written, a step that assumed something the previous step never said. We spend our time looking at plans and resources and writing down which ones actually hold up when you take them into the shop.

What we are not

We are not a store. There is no cart on this site, no checkout, and no payment is ever taken here. We do not manufacture, publish or sell the products we write about, and we are not the creator or seller of TedsWoodworking — that product belongs to Ted McGrath and is retailed through ClickBank.

How we make money

Through affiliate commissions. When we recommend a product and you buy it through our link, the seller pays us a share of the sale at no additional cost to you. That is the whole business model, and we would rather state it plainly than bury it. The full version is on our affiliate disclosure page.

Because we get paid when people buy, the only thing that protects you is us being straight about what a product is. So we do not invent reviews, we do not run fake countdowns, we do not show a crossed-out price that was never charged, and we check the seller's claims against the seller's own page before repeating them.

Corrections

Offers change and pages go stale. If something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
